Video to Text, Word & Main Points

Upload an audio or video file, review it, prepare or edit a transcript, extract key points, and export the text as TXT or Word-compatible DOCX.

Privacy: This page does not upload your selected file to KiranDigitalHub. Whisper transcription is available as an optional browser-loaded model. The first model download needs internet; audio is processed in your browser after loading. Browser and device memory can limit long videos.

1. Select and preview media

No file selected.

For automatic speech recognition, browser support varies by device and language. Some browsers process speech online even though this page itself does not upload the file.

Choose a file first. Recognition availability depends on your browser.

Automatic transcription with Whisper AI

Loads a free open-source multilingual speech model on first use. Audio is processed in short 30-second segments to reduce long browser freezes. The model download can still be large. Initial model download requires internet; cached/offline availability depends on browser storage and is not guaranteed.

For Telugu, Hindi and other regional speech, choose the exact audio language rather than Auto detect. Use a clear audio clip and review names/numbers. Larger models may be slower and need more memory.

Choose a video/audio file, then start transcription.

2. Transcript editor

Transcript exports are created locally in your browser.

3. Main points and summary

The built-in extractor uses simple sentence ranking, not an AI model. Very large transcripts are limited to avoid browser freezing; review output for context.

4. Extract visible text from video (OCR)

This reads text visible inside sampled video frames; it does not transcribe spoken audio. For Telugu, use Telugu (or Telugu + English for mixed screens). OCR can still misread low-resolution or moving text; low-confidence results are flagged for review.

Choose a video file first. OCR language data downloads on first use.

Offline and online options

Before you use Video to Text, Word & Main Points

For Video to Text, Word & Main Points, use a short test clip first and check the formats offered by the workspace before processing a large file. Browser codec support varies. In fallback mode, some tools may provide WebM output only rather than MP3 or MP4.

Check the result

Play the exported file from beginning to end, check audio/video synchronisation, duration, orientation, and file size. Large files may require substantial browser memory and may fail on older devices.

Common questions

Why is my preferred format unavailable?

The available output formats depend on browser capabilities and whether the optional media engine loads successfully.

Why does a large file fail?

Try a shorter clip, close other tabs, and use a modern desktop browser with enough free memory.

Does conversion guarantee the same quality?

No. Output quality depends on codec support, bitrate, resolution, and the selected settings.

Privacy reminder: Do not use confidential or personal files unless you are authorised to process them and are comfortable with the tool’s processing method. Keep a backup of important source files.
